The Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) has announced that junior linebacker Devin Montgomery (Zion, Ill./Zion-Benton H.S.) and sophomore punter Tim Zultanski (Granger, Ind./Marian H.S.) have been named as "Student-Athletes of the Week" for football games of September 27. The two Eagles' players garnered the award, despite their team's 35-10 non-conference loss last week at North Park University. Montgomery, in earning the NAC's defensive "Student-Athlete of the Week" honor, registered 13 total tackles (seven of which were solo) in the game. On the year, he has 20 tackles and is just five away from 200 tackles for his Benedictine career. Zultanski's selection marks the third time in as many games that a BU player was named as the NAC's Special Teams "Student-Athlete of the Week." Zultanski punted four times against the Vikings, averaging 42.5 yards per punt. He killed two balls inside the 20-yard line and had one touchback.
