Students interested in transferring to Benedictine University from College of DuPage (COD) can explore the admissions and advising processes without leaving the Glen Ellyn campus by attending “Transfer Today, BU Tomorrow.” The onsite admissions event will be held from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30. Students can register for an appointment with a Benedictine admissions counselor prior to the event at the COD Counseling and Advising Center in the Student Resource Center, Room 2044. Those students who attend the November 30 event can then attend an advising event on the COD campus from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2. Potential transfer students will meet with their admissions counselors and academic advisors in the Instructional Center, Room 2125C. The admissions counselor and the academic advisor will be able to help the student with the decision-making process so that the student can make well-informed choices as he or she develops meaningful academic plans compatible with their educational and life goals. A student may be admitted to Benedictine University, advised and registered for Spring 2010 classes during this two-day event. Any student interested in transferring to Benedictine can also attend the “Transfer Today, BU Tomorrow” one-stop-shop admissions event from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 23 in the Lownik Hall Enrollment Center on the Benedictine University campus. Students can meet with an admissions counselor and an advisor all within one day. Benedictine University seeks students who will perform successfully in the University’s academic programs. Students transferring into Benedictine’s traditional undergraduate programs must have a minimum of 20 transferable semester hours and a cumulative grade point average of a 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or better from all colleges previously attended. For more information about these events at Benedictine University, call the Enrollment Center at (630) 829-6300, e-mail admissions@ben.edu or visit the University’s Web site at www.ben.edu.
