Temptations to bring back sounds of Motown at Benedictine

Lisle, Illinois ~ Music legends and Motown favorites, The Temptations, will perform at Benedictine University’s new Goodwin Hall Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 15.

This will be a great opportunity for music lovers of all generations to see this timeless quintet perform some of their greatest hits including “My Girl,” “Get Ready” and “Just My Imagination.”

In 1961, the group signed with Motown Records. Their first hit was 1964’s “The Way You Do The Things You Do,” from their album “Meet the Temptations.”

Over the course of their career, The Temptations have released four Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles and 14 R&B number-one singles. They’ve also earned three Grammy Awards.

They won in 1969 for the album “Cloud Nine,” in 1972 for their song “Papa Was A Rollin’ Stone” and received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013.

The Temptations were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989.

In 2010, The Temptations were ranked at number 68 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the “100 Greatest Artists of All Time.”

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
