Springfield, Illinois ~ Benedictine University has selected Janet A. Kirby, Ph.D., to lead the Springfield branch campus as its campus director.
As campus director, Kirby will be responsible for the vision, operations, human resources, compliance and financial success of the campus, overseeing regional strategic enrollment strategy, the campus budget, hiring, scheduling and administration of academic policies and procedures. She will also work with local business, government and community leaders to further the objectives of the branch campus.
Kirby has served the University in various administrative roles over the years and was most recently an associate dean for the University’s School of Graduate, Adult and Professional Education serving adult and graduate students in the central Illinois region. In this role, she was responsible for personnel, developing new curricula and supporting a number of community and industry partnerships, including local government, nonprofit and health care organizations.
Prior to Benedictine, Kirby held several leadership positions in state government, including chief of board office operations.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration and Political Science at Drake University, and a Master of Science in Management and Organizational Behavior and a Doctor of Philosophy in Organization Development at Benedictine University.
