Karen Jordan co-anchors the No. 1-rated weekend newscast in Chicago, the ABC 7 Weekend News. Born in Nashville, Tennessee, she grew up in Evanston, Illinois, and joined ABC 7 in July 2003. Her father, Robert Jordan, is a long-time anchor and reporter at WGN-TV in Chicago.
Jordan graduated from Spelman College in Atlanta and earned a master’s degree from Northwestern University. Recognized for excellence throughout her career, Jordan is passionate about supporting youth development and leadership. Over the years, she has taken a special interest in mentoring several girls one-on-one in life skills.
Bernard Kleina, professional photographer and media consultant, has served as executive director of HOPE Fair Housing Center for more than 39 years. He has produced some of the most innovative and powerful audio-visual presentations on fair and affordable housing in the country. Kleina’s photography exhibit on The Chicago Freedom Movement of 1965 and 1966, exhibited nationally, includes images of Dr. Martin Luther King, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Andrew Young and many others.
