Benedictine University freshman John Borsellino (Oak Brook, Ill./Montini Catholic H.S.), a kickoff return specialist, has been named as the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) Special Teams "Student-Athlete of the Week" for football games of September 20. It is the second such NAC award for Borsellino in as many games during this, his first, collegiate season (he also won the NAC's inaugural honor two weeks ago).
Borsellino scored the Eagles' only touchdown versus the No. 12 North Central College (Ill.). Borsellino had six kickoff returns for an average of 30.5 yards per return, including the 89-yard TD scamper in the fourth quarter.
Borsellino, also a wide receiver, caught two passes for 59 yards and was the team's leading rusher with seven carries for 32 yards. In all, Borsellino accounted for 274 all-purpose yards.
