Dietetic Internship:
Accepting Your Appointment

To accept your Dietetic Internship appointment match to Benedictine University: submit a letter of confirmation of your acceptance directly to Julie Moreschi, the Dietetic Internship Director at Benedictine University (5700 College Road, Lisle, IL 60532-0900) postmarked within 48 hours of the letter of acceptance by Benedictine University.

Prior to the start of the Dietetic Internship, (you may begin the master degree before submission of all these materials) matched interns will be:

Expected to provide on or before the Dietetic Internship Orientation Day of your year of entry:
DPD Verification Statement completed by your DPD Director
Final official transcript issued by your university evidencing degree completion.
Expected to be able to show a Portfolio demonstrating:
Evidence of the completion of clinical and/or community case studies and/or thorough care plans (with therapeutic menu plans as appropriate) as part of (undergraduate or graduate) courses, laboratories, and/or practicum or work experience.
Evidence of professional writing experience through appropriate course completion and/or submission of one manuscript (written according to The J Am Diet Assoc guidelines) and one thorough journal critique of a professional journal article. Deficiencies in this area can be corrected through a one semester credit undergraduate course work at Benedictine University.
Other items as requested by the Dietetic Internship Director or acceptance committee.
