Certificate Programs

Three online certificate programs are available. Sales and Sales Management (SSM) and Human Resources Management (HRM) contain six 5-week courses and Disaster Management contains six 8-week courses for a total of 18 credit hours possible. Instructional methods include lectures, simulations and business case studies. Each class forms online interactive learning teams to assist in the learning process.

Monthly Sales

Sales and Sales Management (SSM)

The Sales and Sales Management Certificate program is a 6 course, 18 credit hour program. It is designed to meet the growing global need for knowledgeable, principle-centered leadership in sales organizations. Intended to prepare managers as both business and sales leaders, the Sales and Sales Management program emphasizes a comprehensive integration and application of sales and sales management knowledge.

  • Courses are 5 weeks in length.
  • There are six (6) courses for the completion of the certificate.
    • MKTG 230 Fundamentals of Selling
    • MKTG 232 Managing Sales Relationships for Productivity
    • MKTG 234 Psychology of Sales
    • MKTG 236 Negotiating Skills in Business
    • MKTG 238 Sales Management
    • MKTG 240 Business Ethics in Sales

Human Resources Management (HRM)

The Human Resources Management Certificate program is designed to meet the needs of those students interested in entering the field of Human Resources as well as experienced HR professionals interested in expanding their knowledge and career potential. This series focuses on the fundamental issues related to employee recruitment, training and retention strategies, employee relations, performance appraisal, compensation and benefits, and employment law.

  • Courses are 5 weeks in length.
  • There are six (6) courses for the completion of the certificate.
    • MGT 260 Fundamentals of Human Resources Management
    • MGT 262 Employee Recruitment Strategies
    • MGT 264 Employee Performances and Appraisal Management
    • MGT 266 Essentials of Compensation and Benefits
    • MGT 268 Managing Workplace Relationships
    • MGT 270 Employment Law and Risk Management

Disaster Management

The Undergraduate Online Disaster Management Certificate Program is
designed to provide first responders and individuals interested in the field with
the essentials required to manage catastrophic emergencies. Individuals from
various industries are encouraged to enroll in the courses as the learning will
enable better preparation and planning for disasters across fields. Students are
taught by experienced faculty who impart theoretical and practical knowledge
that can be applied to relevant professions immediately.

  • Courses are 8 weeks in length
  • There are six (6) courses for the completion of the certificate.
    • HADM 250 Diaster Management for the First Responder
    • HADM 354 Social and Psychological Aspects of Disaster Management
    • HADM 356 Operational Aspects of Disaster Management
    • HADM 357 Public Health Aspects of Disaster Management
    • HADM 305 Environmental Health Matters of Disaster Management
    • HADM 358 Health Care Safety Aspects of Disaster Management
