Program Description - Intermediate Algebra

MATH 095, Intermediate Algebra, for the BAM program, provides the necessary algebraic tools required to link mathematics with real life applications. The course emphasizes understanding the basic algebraic properties and introduction to linear equations. The goal of MATH 095 is to help students develop a better appreciation for and understanding of mathematical concepts that are vital in the business world. Specific topics include real number systems, linear equations and functions, graphing of linear applications, polynomials and rational expressions. This course emphasizes proper mathematical problem-solving techniques; a mathematical calculator is required and will be used throughout the course.
