Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program
The Business Club and Undergraduate Business Department are again sponsoring
the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. Through the VITA program,
business students can volunteer to participate in weekend tax assistance sessions.
Congress enacts tax legislation. Certain aspects of tax laws are intended
to assist low income individuals who are often entitled to tax refunds
but are unaware of certain details in the tax laws. Students who volunteer
in the VITA Program enable low income taxpayers to obtain the benefits
that they deserve. Students volunteers go through a one evening training
session and then must complete a short take home exam. The date, time,
and location for the training session follows.
