The role of the Benedictine Center for Mission and Identity is to promote
and operationalize Benedictine characteristics and values in all facets of
campus life while embracing the Catholic context from which they were derived.
Center for Civic
Leadership (will open in a new window)
Effective democratic self-government rests on the character, judgment and
involvement of citizens committed to the ideals of American constitutional
democracy. The Center, assisted by an interdisciplinary faculty offers targeted
courses, programs and service learning opportunities to undergraduates that
will aid them in becoming competent citizens.
The China Institute
In 2007, Benedictine University established The China Institute to promote and coordinate its activities in China as well as encourage and recruit students in the United States to attend programs offered in China. The China Institute also sponsors programs and seminars in the United States to foster greater understanding and cooperation among the two countries.

The Institute for Intergenerational Health functions to faciliate interdisciplinary
communication among professionals in health fields and promotes community outreach.
