- Lecturer at St John's College, University of
Manitoba in the early 1960s
- Assistant and associate professor of medieval
history St Patrick's College, University of Ottawa, and Carleton University,
Ottawa, in the late 1960s and 1970s (early retirement and move to England
in order to complete research projects.)
- With generous support from the British Academy,
the Leverhulme Trust and other foundations Dr. Greatrex has edited a number
of medieval documents and conference proceedings, produced a Biographical
Register of the English Cathedral Priories of the Province of Canterbury,
and is about to send off to the OUP a second volume, a sequel to the latter,
which will be entitled Rule and Practice in the English Benedictine Cathedral
Priories, 1270 - 1420.
