The Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society's national signature event where teams spend the night honoring cancer survivors
and remembering those who passed away because of this disease. Last year, Benedictine University organized 49 teams that raised
nearly $50,000 and received a national award for raising $24.91 per capita, which means that the University raised the most money per
person in its area. The Benedictine University Relay for Life committee hopes to organize at least 65 teams in 2004 with a goal of raising
at least $70,000. This year’s event will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 23-24, 2004.
For more information, contact
Jaime Jandura by email at Jaime_Jandura@ben.edu or by phone at (630) 829-2217.
