Department of History, Global Studies, Philosophy, Theology, and Religious Studies
Welcome to the Department of History, Global Studies, Philosophy and Religious Studies. The department is home to nine full-time faculty members, one part-time faculty and several adjunct faculty members. All full-time and part-time faculty have a Ph.D. in their area of concentration.
The vision of the department is to produce graduates with the knowledge, critical thinking skills and desire for life-long learning to be leaders in their communities and on the global stage. The mission of the department is to provide students with comprehensive knowledge of the academic disciplines contained in our department through intensive reading and writing in the subject area with instruction through seminar-based technology enriched in classes. The desired goal is to prepare the student for success in any career path and stimulates the desire for life long learning.
The most measurable outcome for our students is graduate school admissions. In the last ten years, this department has achieved 100 percent success rate of students who applied for graduate school being accepted.
