Department events

The Department regularly organizes a variety of activities aimed at enriching the lives of its students as well as the university community as a whole. Poets such as Marc Kelly Smith, Quraysh Ali Lansana, and Ishle-Yi Park (right) have been invited to campus to read their work, while the Department’s annual Poetry Slam and Open Mic night affords students the opportunity to present their creative work to their peers. Quantum Pulp, a Department-sponsored journal of the creative arts, provides an additional venue for the publication of student writing.
