2004-2005 Insider's Guide
for the Faculty Mentoring
Program
Dear New Faculty Member:
We are pleased to welcome you to our
Benedictine family. This little booklet, contributed to by a great many of your
new colleagues, hopefully will provide you with an insight into our community
and the favorite best known (or least known!) restaurants, recreational sites,
and strategies for building collegial relationships from the first day on. The
New Faculty Mentor Program is designed to provide you with many resources for
teaching and scholarship. Benedictine University faculty takes pride in our history
of excellence, and we are eager to build learning experiences with you. Resources
for this program are made possible by the Office of the Provost, and we have taken
great care in ensuring that the New Faculty Mentorship Program will assist you
in a successful beginning of your tenure with us. I also extend appreciation to
Ethel Ragland for serving as Director of the Mentoring Program. Enjoy the meetings,
the relationships, new friends and colleagues.
