Eligibility and Application Requirements for First Responder Program (FRP) Degree Programs

Associate of Arts in Business Administration (A.A.B.A.)

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be at least 22 years old
• Minimum two years experience in public service industry
• High school diploma or GED certificate
• College or university cumulative GPA of at least 2.0, if attended

Application Requirements (all information must be submitted together)

• Complete First Responder Program application
• Submit $40 application fee (check made payable to Benedictine University, Memo: First Responder Program)
• Complete FAFSA form online (www.fafsa.ed.gov) for financial aid, include Benedictine University's school code: 001767 and submit confirmation number via e-mail or fax
• Provide proof of award or denial for tuition reimbursement from employer
• Provide a copy of high school diploma or GED certificate
• Submit letter verifying first responder status (must be generated from an agency authority)
• Fire and police must provide documented proof of non-contracted status as municipal employee
• Veterans must provide proof of active/reservist (pending deployment/return) status
• Official transcripts from all previous institutions attended must be sealed and sent to: Benedictine University, Attention: Enrollment Center, 5700 College Road, Lisle, IL 60532

Bachelor of Arts in Management (B.A.M.)

Eligibility Requirements

• At least a 2.0 cumulative GPA and A.A., A.S. or A.A.S. degree from an accredited institution
• Must be at least 22 years old
• Minimum two years experience in public service industry

Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.)

Eligibility Requirements

• At least a 3.0 cumulative GPA and B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited institution
• Must be at least 23 years old
• Minimum two years experience in public service industry
• Must have had College Algebra within the last seven years

Application Requirements (all information must be submitted together)

• Complete First Responder Program application
• Submit $40 application fee (check made payable to Benedictine University, Memo: First Responder Program)
• If financial assistance is needed, complete FAFSA form online (www.fafsa.ed.gov) for financial aid, include Benedictine University's school code: 001767 and submit confirmation number via e-mail or fax
• Provide proof of award or denial for tuition reimbursement from employer
• Submit letter verifying first responder status (must be generated from an agency authority)

• Two letters of recommendation, goal statement and resume
• Interview may be requested
