Airport Information - Arriving
in the U.S.
The US Embassy (or other
diplomatic mission) working with you will supply you with your
airline tickets, visa, and other required documentation to enter
the United States. If you have any doubt about these documents
or have concerns about your tickets, please contact them immediately.
All the participants will arrive at the Dulles
International Airport, from various airports either overseas
or in the United States. You must proceed through customs and
immigration inspection at whatever airport you first arrive into
the United States. This process is carried out by U. S. Customs
and Boarder Protection. Please see Customs
& Immigration web page for further information. Your flight
itenerary may state that you are to fly on to Chicago on your
own. That is mistake. You will fly to Chicago with all your fellow
participants and Benedictine/GES staff on Sunday, July 10.
Benedictine University & GES personnel will be present at
the Washington D.C. Dulles Airport to meet the students as they
arrive. The staff members will be waiting outside customs and
immigration as the students come out and will be holding signs
for the students to see. The mentors will also be wearing Bendedictine
University shirts for the students to identify as well.
In the highly unlikely event that you are not met by our staff,
please contact the Benedictine Academic Director at 708-528-7298.
