Leadership and Managing Workplace Diversity Initiatives
As the world becomes more diverse, so does the workplace.
Diversity in today’s global context has many dimensions and can have a
profound bottom line impact on organizations. Those charged with
championing workplace diversity must define goals and outline a clear
strategy to get individual employees and their organizations on board.
Take a leadership role in today’s
diverse workplace!
The first day of this two-day program focuses on the importance of being self-aware of your own
identity and beliefs and how they impact your ability to work together effectively with others.
Participants will complete a diversity self-assessment and leave this session with a customized
report to help them gauge their acceptance level along with leadership best practices for diversity
change agents.
Day two of the program will explore workplace diversity from an organizational and systems
level. Participants will explore the major components of designing a diversity initiative for their
organizations. Specifically, participants will explore various ways to survey their organizations to
collect data to drive goal setting.
Participants will learn strategies to engage senior management, approaches to instill accountability
and techniques to measure the results using existing systems. Participants will leave the session with
tools to design a diversity initiative, approaches to build a business case for diversity, and guidelines
for developing and managing employee resource groups.
