American Chemical Society/ Society of Physics Students

 |
The American Chemical Society (ACS) and Society of Physics
Students (SPS, which is a sub-component of the American
Physical Society, APS) are two internationally-recognized
professional societies dedicated to promoting the physical
sciences. Benedictine University is fortunate to maintain
chapters of both these organizations, which hold joint meeting
together as ACS-SPS. Our activities include a student-led
chemistry/ physics seminar series, career-building events,
field trips to local scientific institutions, and social
outings as well. Optional national membership in ACS or
SPS additionally makes students eligible for external scholarships
and travel grants to attend national ACS or APS conferences.
