Introductory Topics

It is recommended that you work through the Introductory Topics in order. Faculty who are using Bb to enhance traditionl lecture/discussion classes may find this collection of topics sufficient for their needs.

Blackboard Course Request And Getting Started With Your New Course
Requesting a Blackboard course site, accessing Blackboard, the My Blackboard page, entering a new course and selecting course tools. (6 minutes)

Posting a Syllabus in Blackboard
Configuring Syllabus on the Course Tools Menu, browsing for files, the IE Information Bar and a Bb Quirk; Adding a Content Link to the syllabus. (7 minutes)

Posting Documents
Folders for organizing course materials, uploading documents such as handouts and PowerPoint files. (4 minutes)

Weblinks
Adding links to remote websites under Weblinks on the Course Tools menu; adding links to course pages. (5 minutes)

Question: How do I publish grades to my students?
Answer: If My Grades appears in Student View as shown in the video, the grades have been published to students. If My Grades shows but a particular assignment or exam does not show, see the Managing the Bb Grade Book tutorial for instructions on releasing grades to students. If My Grades does not show, use Manage Course -> Tools to add it to your Course Tools menu.

SafeAssign
