Job description:
Provide emergency assessments and crisis intervention to adults and children at hospital emergency department. Arrange psychiatric hospitalization and referrals as necessary. Qualifications: Masters degree in social services, social work or counseling required. Hours: Every other Saturday, 12 noon 12:30 a.m. plus availability to fill in some weekday overnight (12 midnight 8:00 a.m.) shifts as needed.
Salary: $18.00/hr

Family Support Staff (Children)
Responsibilities: Family Support Staff create opportunities for personal growth and enjoyment for children
and adults with development disabilities. Responsibilities include providing activities in people’s homes and their
communities that foster independence, build friendships and increase self esteem. Staff directed experiences focus on increasing communication skills, making choices, tutoring and having fun. Shifts are typically three to four hours
after school (2:30 to 6:30pm) and/or on the weekends.After school, early evenings and weekend hours
Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years old, with a High School/GED degree and valid driver’s license.
Previous experience providing supports to people with developmental disabilities preferred. Will consider applicants
that are people orientated, able to work independently and can motivate others. Clean driving record and background checks required. Must be able to write and speak English.

Case Aide/ Family Support Specialist
Responsibilities: Family Support Specialists provide interim family support services to children and young adults with developmental disabilities who live at home with their families. Family support Specialists work as part of the child's/ young adults team to increase his/her independence in the areas of communication, academics, interpersonal relationships, self-care, feeding, dressing, work skills, community safety, community integration and behavior management through direct teaching and support. Family Support Specialist provide on-the-job training to Family Support Staff and consultation in developing in home programming.
Qualifications: Family Support Specialists must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver's license and high school diploma or GED certificate. A bachelor's degree or other continued education related to the field is preferred. Experience working with individuals who have developmental challenges, and/ or working with families and/ or family-related systems required; a minimum of 3 years preferred. Family Support Specialist must be able to life a minimum of 25 pounds.

Resource Coordinator
Responsibilities: The Resource Coordinator assists the Director in administrative needs for Chicago
programs. Additionally, the resource coordinator will serve as a case aide for at least fifty percent of
his/her time and work with the rest of the team to implement varies interventions in the homes of the
families we serve. Resource coordinator will be the primary person responsible for the coordination of
resource development for the Chicago office. The resource coordinator will be responsible for locating
resources for staff and families. Provide in-home support services it is expected that approximately fifty
percent of time will be spend working directly in the homes with children and families). Acts as backup for
the LCF Chicago trainer for OJT and other required training for families one staff in absence of LCF trainer. Generally Weekdays/Business hours.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services field with 2 years experience working with
children with disabilities required. Must be eligible to become a QMRP. Must demonstrate competency in
typing and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). Good verbal and written
communication skills is essential. Experience supervising staff is preferred.
