Student's who are interested in need-based aid, are required to completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year. Once the federal processor receives the FAFSA, a Student Aid Report (SAR) will be generated and Benedictine University will receive an electronic copy. Students not interested in applying for need-based funds must submit only the Benedictine University Financial Aid application.

The Student Aid Report (SAR) may indicate that the student has been selected for a process called verification. The student is required to submit certain documents such as copies of Federal tax returns to complete the verification process.

The Financial Aid Office calculates eligibility and sends a financial aid award notification letter. The financial aid packet includes general financial aid and student loan information.

The student's financial aid awards will be posted to the student's account after each term begins.
