Fr. Ernest Zizka, O.S.B.
Fr. Ernest Zizka (1899-1966) was the oldest of
the bunch, in his fifties when he became an chaplain. He served with the Army,
first at a German prisoner-of-war camp and then at a hospital, both of which
were in the States. After the war, he managed to visit Europe and gave a number
of talks in Czechoslovakia, sometimes being introduced as an American general!
