Lorna writes:

"My dad was an amateur photographer so he has a couple of photo albums from his stint in the army as a Private. He and some of his buddies joined the army straight out of high school in Lyons, NY. He met and married my mom during his time at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX. My mom's name was Candelaria Maria Valdez Alfaro and they married in June of 1957."
