Fathers Edmund and Hilary Jurica developed an impressive laboratory collection of specimens and visual aids in botany, zoology, and premedical studies. Many of the speciments they prepared themselves. The items they exhibited in the original "bugs lab" (as their laboratory came to be called) can still be viewed in the Birck Hall Jurica Nature Museum.
