The
Lincoln models once displayed on this floor have been donated to the new Abraham
Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, Illinois
The Benedictine donation of
the Thomas J. Dyba Collection, named for our former university administrator
and Lincoln scholar, includes 4,500 Lincoln publications, including campaign
pamphlets, biographies and funeral eulogies. It also includes exact scale-model
reproductions of the hearse and funeral train built from period photos and
eyewitness descriptions by former Benedictine faculty member Wayne Wesolowski.
