The Office of Marketing and Communications supports the promotion,
communications and public relations strategies for Benedictine
University. As Benedictine continues to grow, our promotional
efforts focus increasingly on recruitment and retention, as well
as supporting special events and cultivation efforts. This includes
the implementation of promotional strategy, opportunities and
advertising programs. We provide University-wide support to ensure
a consistent look for our publications. We design and develop
more than 150 publications annually for the institution as a whole,
in addition to numerous projects for individual departments within
the University. We are also responsible for the implementation
of public relations support through media relations, press releases
and pitching feature stories. Our office also manages the closed
circuit TV channel, the electric sign and the Web site. In addition
to being responsible for all Benedictine recruitment and special
events materials, the Office is responsible for publishing:
- Voices, Benedictine's magazine
- A Message Home, a newsletter for families of current undergraduate
students
- The Benedictine Experience, an e-newsletter for prospective
undergraduate students
- Calendar of Events
- Campus Notebook, Benedictine's weekly employee online newsletter
- Plus many more!
This policy and procedure manual has been developed to help us
all work together to enhance the image of Benedictine University.
If you have any questions regarding these policies and procedures,
please contact the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications.
