Who We Are and What We Do...
The Office of Marketing and Communications enhances the image and visibility of Benedictine University through publications, media relations, marketing, Internet, advertising, recruitment and fundraising programs.
The Office of Marketing and Communications is located in the lower level of Lownik Hall. Please call us first to see if we are available to meet with you or to make an appointment. Drop-in visits are discouraged.
Mercy Robb, Executive Director of Marketing and Communications - ext. 6095
Mercy is the chief communications officer and oversees all areas of marketing and communications for Benedictine University. She is responsible for the design and implementation of strategies designed to distinguish Benedictine University from peer institutions; to win advocates and supporters as measured in development; to support undergraduate, international, adult and graduate enrollment and retention programs; and faculty and staff recruitment programs. She is also the University spokesperson.
Pina Arnone, Project/Office Coordinator - ext. 6090
Pina provides a variety of support services for the Office of Marketing and Communications staff. She manages the departmental budget, coordinates between departments as well as vendors, various mailers and postage, maintains master publication calendar and coordinates associated project details, arranges travel, expense reports, schedules appointments, and supervises office student workers.
Krystal Barrett, Acting Associate Director of Print Communications - ext. 6191
Krystal is a leader in the Office of Marketing and Communications, working closely with writers/editors, media relations staff, graphic designers, online communications staff, photographers and other staff in the design and development of Benedictine University’s print communication initiatives. She manages all Benedictine University advertising and campus signage and promotional item graphic design.
Phil Brozynski, Media Relations and Creative Writing Manager - ext. 6094
Phil is the University’s primary liaison with all members of the press. He increases the visibility and enhances the image of Benedictine University’s programs and events through news releases, relationships with media members, Internet content, campus communication vehicles and publications.
Nadia Darwish, Associate Director of Online and Electronic Communications - ext. 6093
Nadia is a leader in the Office of Marketing and Communications, working closely with writers/editors, media relations staff, graphic designers, photographers, administrators and IT staff in the design, organization, navigation, development and maintenance of the Benedictine University Web site and other multimedia and new media initiatives. She directs and manages Benedictine's Internet presence and multimedia, new media and electronic initiatives with strategic emphasis on the use as an integrated management and marketing tool.
Linda Hale, Editor/Writer for Voices Magazine - ext. 6092
Linda is responsible for the production of Voices magazine, including writing, editing and coordinating all content and design.
Rachel Jones, Marketing Coordinator - ext.6190
Rachel coordinates photography, marketing initiatives and assists with media relations. She publishes the Campus Notebook weekly.
Brittany Plahm, Electronic Communications Coordinator - ext. 6192
Brittany coordinates multimedia, new media and electronic communication initiatives with strategic emphasis on use as integrated management and marketing tools. She is responsible for the closed circuit TV and the electronic sign located at the intersection of College Road and Maple Avenue.
Corinne Vargas, Graphic Designer - ext. 6089
Corinne creates and maintains the design, look and style for all University communications to internal and external audiences through publications.
