Meet the Staff
Police Officers
The Office of University Police is located in the lower level
of the KRASA Center. Please stop by Monday through Friday from
8am-4pm or call 829-6122.
Donald Baron, Day shift Police Officer
Don Baron comes to us from Morton Community College Police Department.
Don has over (35) years of Law enforcement experience in both
municipal and higher education settings. Don also worked as a
police officer for the Department of Veteran Affairs and at Moraine
Valley Community College. Don is retired from Evergreen Park Police
Department.
Ronald Boris, Day shift Police Officer - Res Hall Resource
Officer
Ronald Boris has (10) years experience in law enforcement from
University Park Police Department and was the acting director
of security here at Benedictine prior to the conversion to University
Police. Ron holds a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice.
Michael Perez, Night shift Police Officer
Michael Perez has over (27) years of municipal law enforcement experience. Michael comes to us from the Aurora Police Department. He specialized in Juvenile Operations and Investigations. Michael is also a professor for Phoenix University. Michael holds an Masters Degree in Criminal Justice. Michael is also a nationally certified Cultural Diversity instructor.
Derek Ferguson, Night shift Police Officer - Res Hall
Resource Officer
Derek Ferguson has (18) years of law enforcement experience. Derek
comes to us from Cook County Hospital Police. Derek also works
part-time for the Fox valley Park District Police Department.
Lloyd Popp, Day shift Police Officer
Lloyd Popp has over (24) years municipal law enforcement experience.
Lloyd comes to us from Aurora Police Department. Lloyd has served
as a school liaison officer for (18) years. Llyod holds an Associates
Degree in Criminal Justice.
Derryl Deer, Night shift Police Officer - Res Hall Resource
Officer
Derrel Deer, has (4) years University Policing experience. Derrel
comes to us from Northern Illinois University Police Department
where he served as a Residence Hall Police Officer. Derrel holds
a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice.
Christina Meadows, Night shift Police Officer - Res Hall
Resource Officer
Christina, has (1) year of municipal Policing experience. Christina
comes to us from Bolingbrook Police Department. Christina holds
a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice.
Community Service Aides
Benedictine University students take part in making their campus
community a safer place by working as Community Serivce Aides.
CSA's handle all non-criminal service calls such as: Jump Starts,
Lockouts, Traffic Control, Motorist Assists and more.
