2010 Senior Class Gift FAQs
Where does my money go?
This year, seniors will be raising money for the Renovation of the Rice Center. The Senior Class Gift Committee has a goal of raising $5,000.00 in order to fund a row of bleachers in what will be the new student section in the basketball arena. If the seniors hit their target goal of $5000 they will get a dedication on the bleachers recognizing the Class of 2010. The Rice Center will be beneficial to many future generations of Benedictine students!
The Senior Class Gift is students giving back to students, a great example of the Benedictine value of community and giving back.”
Why should I participate in the Senior Class Gift?
If you believe that your experience at Benedictine University has and will continue to have a positive impact upon your life and if you want to make sure that future students have the same great experience, then you can do so by participating in the Senior Class Gift!
Participate because:
- You want to help make the Rice Center Renovations possible!
- You want future students to have access to a state of the art, top of the line sports and workout facility.
- You want to take part in the tradition of giving back to Benedictine University.
- Your gift is tax deductible!
Why does my participation matter?
Your contribution will directly benefit those who will follow in your footsteps. Your participation also matters because there is strength in numbers! There is no such thing as a small gift. All gifts are appreciated. If each senior participates, we can create a gift of great impact! By making a donation to the Senior Class Gift, you are also helping to strengthen Benedictine University’s national rankings. These rankings are partially based on the giving levels of students and alumni since it reflects the satisfaction with the University that these two groups feel. These rankings add value to your degree!
How much should I give?
We want our seniors to participate in the Senior Class Gift at any level that is comfortable to them. Seniors tend to give in the amount that reflects their graduating year. For example, an appropriate 2010 gift would be $20.10. But we really want to stress participation! Any amount helps your University, and all gifts are greatly appreciated!
