To participate in the retreat weekend, please print, fill in, and return the application to University Ministry by Noon, March 19, 2010.
Koinonia is both the Greek word for community and the name of the student-led, weekend-long retreat program for Benedictine University students. It is a time to get away from campus with fellow students, re-examine one’s life in the context of the Paschal Mystery, and, beginning with your fellow retreat members, build up the Christian community on campus and beyond. Additional general information is on our about page.
Because Koinonia is not just a weekend, our schedule page includes more than just upcoming retreat dates! We also have an electronic mailing list (with an archive) that we welcome all BK alumni/ae to join to keep up with community news. Alumni/ae can join by contacting us at benedictine_koinonia@yahoo.com with your e-mail address and prior BK information. We sometimes refer to this list as the “BK-list.”
Finally, as we are able, each retreat has its own archival section. (Due to the loss of some records during the early 2000s, information on BK 1 through the first BK 8 are sketchy. Indeed, this record loss is why there are two BK 8s! If you would like to help fill in the blanks, please contact us at benedictine_koinonia@yahoo.com or via Fr. Bob.)
