The National Wellness Institute defines wellness as "an active process through which people become aware of, and make choices towards, a more successful existence." We promote the Six Dimensions of Wellness Model by the National Wellness Institute. These dimensions include: physical (e.g., fitness, nutrition, disease prevention), emotional, social, intellectual, occupational, and spiritual.
