5/13/2013Benedictine University announced today that the Board of Trustees has named Michael D. Bromberg Springfield branch campus president. Bromberg will report to William J. Carroll, Ph.D., who continues to serve as president of Benedictine University.

Springfield: D. Sulamoyo, Ph.D., to give keynote speech
5/9/2013Dalitso Samson Sulamoyo, Ph.D., President/CEO of the Illinois Association of Community Action Agencies, will be the keynote speaker for the commencement ceremony. Sulamoyo graduated from Benedictine University at Springfield in 2011 where he was part of the first cohort to earn a Ph.D. in Organization Development. Sulamoyo also graduated from the same campus in 1994 when it was previously Springfield College in Illinois.

Springfield: Photography Exhibition of John Sevigny
10/23/2012“Happyland”, John Sevigny’s latest photographic project, was shot in Central America. Sevigny spent four months traveling though Guatemala, Nicaragua and San Salvador to shed light upon a region described as one of the most beautiful in the world, but not in the manner one usually ascribes to tropical tourist-filled resorts. The project shows a rarely-seen view of life in these poverty-stricken countries, where not much has been done to restore them to their pre-civil conflicts, and people sometimes go to great lengths to dress up or make ‘happy’ the drudgery and wretchedness of their lives and the environments in which they live. As stunning as it is, Central America is still ‘one of the most dangerous areas in the world’.
