The Board of Trustees has approved 2016-2017 tuition and fees. In setting next year’s fees, University leadership worked diligently to review all available data regarding the students we serve throughout the BenU community. As a result, tuition increases will help support these major initiatives: 

• Increasing student scholarship funds. We want to ensure students who aspire to join the Benedictine community have the financial resources to be successful in their studies. 

• Increasing the number of full-time faculty over the next five years. For it is within the faculty – the purveyors of University knowledge, truth and community spirit – that we build a strong foundation for student retention and success. 

• Continuing improvement of facilities and technology at all sites. Significant improvements have been made in recent years, but there are still more to address as we strive to provide our students with the finest educational, recreational and residential facilities.

Remaining competitive and sustainable in the constantly changing higher education environment requires the University to adjust our tuition and fees structure on an annual basis. Increased tuition and fees enable the University to reinvest in key areas so we may continue guiding minds and spirits to be successful not only as professionals, but also as positive contributors to society. While we anticipate that our 2016-2017 tuition rates will remain highly competitive in comparison to other Catholic universities in our primary service areas, we will continue to work to make tuition affordable to all Benedictine University students.

All tuition and fees are due to Benedictine University at the start of each course. Full payment for flat rate tuition programs is required at the start of the learning team program and is nonrefundable. Benedictine University reserves the right to change tuition, fees, courses and sequencing of courses without notice. Please note that fees are nonrefundable.

All tuition remission students and consortium students must pay applicable fees such as activity, graduation, health, technology and lab fees. All fees are subject to change without further notice. 

Acceptable forms of payment include: cash, check, money order, American Express, MasterCard, Visa or Discover.

Benedictine University has partnered with Higher One to provide interest-free monthly payment options through the TuitionPay plan. Students may create budgets to manage their tuition costs per term or combine fall and spring semester out-of-pocket expenses in an annual payment plan (September-August). 

Students utilizing tuition reimbursement can arrange, with Higher One’s TuitionPay, a single tuition payment plan due at the end of the term (plus a grace period). Documentation of your eligibility in your employer’s tuition assistance plan must be submitted to the Office of Student Accounts prior to enrolling in this plan.
