Career Development  

The Career Development Office offers comprehensive services to assist students and alumni in developing, implementing and evaluating career and life plans. Our goal is to promote personal and professional development by utilizing a holistic approach to achieve their career goals, provide them with a foundation to become self-directed learners, and educate them through the career planning process. This mission will be accomplished through collaboration with students, alumni, faculty and employers and a commitment to empowering students and alumni to be active participants in their own career development process. Visit us during walk-in hours! No appointment is necessary during these periods; simply come on in to the Career Development Center in Krasa 010, and meet with a career adviser, a Career Peer Educator (CPE) or our Graduate Assistant for help with resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, and more:

  • Monday: 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. & 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
  • Thursday: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. & 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Are you looking for a job on campus or need help with your resume or cover letter? Attend any of our workshops during the lunch hour in Krasa 012 - Career Development Library and Technology Center. Bring a copy of your resume/cover letter (not mandatory). We'll cover a wide range of topics such as:

  • Networking
  • Finding an internship
  • Informational interviewing & job shadowing
  • Resume and cover letter writing
  • Personal branding
  • Writing your personal statement
  • Creating your LinkedIn page
  • Interviewing skills for job/internship/graduate school
