We have Baccalaureate Mass and Hooding that is May 11th, and Commencement May 12th. Check the website for information: http://www.ben.edu/commencement/schedule.cfm
The Baccalaureate Mass and Hooding Ceremony brings together students, faculty and staff for the last time as a University community within a prayerful and reflective atmosphere. As tradition at Catholic Institutions, the ceremony will begin with a Catholic Liturgy. Immediately following the Liturgy, we will continue our evening in prayer and reflection with our Interfaith Hooding Ceremony, which is the symbolic passing of the knowledge and methods of the disciplines and the liberal arts from a faculty or staff member to the student.
To participate in the Baccalaureate Mass and Hooding Ceremony, student are required to complete the response form by on later than Monday, April 16, 2018. This ensures that your name will be included in the program. Your response card should indicate which faculty or staff member you have chosen to confer the hood upon you. Please also contact the faculty member or staff member who you would like to perform the hooding personally to notify them.
Participating student should report the Rice Center by 6:30 p.m. dressed in full academic attire (cap and gown, with gowns zipped up the front) carrying the hood over your left arm. Students are asked to sit in the assigned student seating. Do not use cell phones during the ceremony, as this is a time of prayer and reflection and sacred readings are being shared from a number of different faith traditions.
Due to the intimate nature of this convocation along with its space constraints, attendance at the ceremony is limited to six guests per participant.

Registration season is upon us as summer registration begins March 1st and fall registration will begin for students with senior standing on Tuesday April 3rd. In preparation for registration, is important that students take care of any holds they may have on their student account, as a hold will prevent registration from occurring. Please see below for the different types of holds students encounter, and where students can go for assistance:
Please note that students must fill out a Release of Confidential Information Form for any academic or financial information to be disclosed to parents.
We also encourage students to meet with their professors for office hours, the peer tutoring center for tutoring (schedule can be found at www.ben.edu/ace) and with our Math, Writing or Science specialists for tutoring assistance.
Our advising staff is always available to assist students with any questions or concerns that students may have. Please don’t hesitate to visit www.ben.edu/advising or contact us at (630) 829-1120 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
