I live in a residence Hall, but I don’t expect to receive any mail, do I still need a mail box?

Each student living on campus is assigned a mail box, during the course of the year, university offices or affiliated groups may send out information that is placed in your mail box. It is recommended that you check your mail box regularly. If you misplace your mail box assignment/combination card, a replacement can be obtained from the mail room in the Krasa Center.

What happens when I receive a package from the post office or a delivery service?

Many students receive packages from home or order items on-line. If these items are too large for your mail box, we will need to notify you so that you can pick the item up at the mail room. We encourage all students to fill out a cell phone notification card so that we can notify you.

Where is my mail box located?

Student mail boxes are located on the lower level of the Krasa Center. You can take the back stairs off the Krasa parking lot. Mail is placed in the boxes Monday through Friday by 1:00 p.m. The mail room is not open on weekends. The hours of operation are: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The mail room is closed on most National Holidays. The mail room phone number is (630) 829-6426.

Can I buy stamps at the mail room?

Yes, the mail room sells stamps and accepts letters and parcels for mailing. You can deposit letters using the mail slot located near the mail room entrance 24 hours a day. The mail room will provide a brochure listing the many services offered. Please make time to review.

Can I send a fax at the mail room?

Yes, for a $1.00 fee the mail room will send a fax message for you. There is a higher fee for long distance and faxes sent to foreign countries.

Note: Please be advised all resident students at the time of key pick up will receive a blue card providing you your mail box combination. You will need to memorize or keep with you for mail pick up.
