Academic/Pre-Professional Student Organizations and Clubs
American Chemical Society/Society of Physics (ACS/SPS)- Our mission is to provide information and events to the community that foster and encourage a fun scientific environment and to inform and help those seeking a career in the scientific fields.
American Medical Student Association (AMSA)- Our mission is to improve health care and healthcare delivery to all people; to promote active improvement in medical education; involve our members in the social, moral and ethical obligations of the profession of medicine; assist in the improvement and understanding of world health problems and to contribute to the welfare of medical students, interns, residents and post-MD/DO trainees; and to advance the profession of medicine.
Business Club- Our mission is to provide activities that promote business education by organizing and sponsoring events pertaining to the business world and inviting speakers to discuss their experiences.
Candor Newspaper- Our mission is to provide a learning experience for students in print media production that promotes and stimulates good journalism and provides a weekly student newspaper for Benedictine University.
Grade A Chemistry and Physics- Our mission is to supplement students learning of chemistry and physics through a student-run tutoring organization and to provide regular review of concepts learned in class.
Illinois Education Association Student Program (IEASP)- Our mission is to help prepare future educators for their career in the field of education.
Investment Club- Our mission is to educate members in the field of trading securities exchange, to create a group oriented environment conducive to learning and to provide a balanced appreciation of or approach to the Benedictine investment portfolio.
Kappa Delta Pi- Our mission is to promote excellence in and recognize outstanding contributions to education.
Math Club- our mission is to promote mathematics and its applications to the Benedictine University student.
Nutrition Club- Our mission is to apply student knowledge and communication skills to educate the entire Benedictine University community on the relationship of nutrition to health and well-being.
Optometry Club- Our mission is to expand the minds of pre-optometry students resulting in an increase of knowledge and a thorough understanding of eye care.
Pharmacy Club- our mission is to provide students with an opportunity to further enhance their interest or career in the field of pharmacy and to serve as a source of pharmacy related information.
Pre-Dental Club- Our mission is to inform students of the requirements, benefits and opportunities offered in the field of dentistry.
Psych-Soc Club- Our mission is to make the campus and student body more aware of the fields of psychology/sociology. This is done through presentations, speakers, service projects and multi-cultural events.
Smiles in the City- our mission is to teach oral hygiene and promote dental health to children and adults from undeserved communities.
Tri-Beta- Out mission, as part of the National Biological Honor Society, is to provide a wide array of educational and interactive activities for students inclined to pursue a major or minor in life sciences at Benedictine University.
