Student Senate of Benedictine University

Our Mission: "We, as members of the Student Senate of Benedictine University, pledge to serve the Benedictine community by voicing the needs and facilitating the development of the student body."

Who We Are: Students elected by campus wide elections, holding positions on Student Senate that comprise of 30 senators and 4 executive officers. We are here to represent your needs by voicing your concerns to implement change on campus and to serve as a liaison between the student body and the administration.

When We Meet: Student Senate meetings are held on Tuesdays, from 12:20 p.m.-1:20 p.m. in Krasa A&B.

 

Standing Committees:


College of Business: The Committee of the College of Business works to promote events and deals with issues regarding the departments of Business Administration; Business and Finance, Management Information Systems, International Business, Anthropology and Economics; Management and Organizational Behavior; and Organizational Development.

College of Science: The Committee of the college of Science works to promote events and deals with issues regarding the departments of Biological Sciences, Mathematics, Computer Science and Information Systems, Chemistry, and Physicals/Engineering.

College of Liberal Arts: The Committee of Liberal Arts works to promote events and deals with issues regarding the departments of Communications, Music, History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies, Political Science, Language and Literature; Psychology and Sociology.

College of Education and Health Services: The college of Education and Health Services works to promote events and deals with issues regarding the departments of Teacher Education, Nursing and Health, Nutrition, and Public Health.

Student Outreach: The Committee for Student Outreaches works to promote events and deals with issues regarding food services, Benedictine Bookstore, informational technology, student development, and campus services and safety.

International: The International committee deals with issues regarding the international program hosted at Benedictine University and works with promoting events of the International Program Office.
