
Summer Housing
We invite you to apply for campus housing for the summer 2026 term. The summer application opens when summer course selection becomes available in late March/early April. The Residence Life Department would like to share important information to help you secure housing and enjoy a successful experience during the summer months.
Summer 2026 Housing Application
Apply for campus housing for summer 2026 when the application opens April 13.

- Summer Housing Dates: May 8 – August 29*
Transition Dates:
- Summer Transition: May 15 at 10 a.m.
- Fall Transition: August 7
- Non-Fall Resident Move-Out: August 21
Your exact end date depends on whether you’re returning for fall 2026. See “Important Dates & Transitions” below for details.
Eligibility & Requirements
To qualify for on-campus summer housing, you must be registered for at least one summer course.
Housing Details
Location: Founders Woods
Accommodation: 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment
Cost: $3,900 for the entire 16-week period
What’s Included
Your $3,900 housing fee covers:
- Fully furnished apartment (beds, desks, and basic furniture)
- Utilities (electric, water, heat/AC)
- WiFi
- Parking
- Campus safety services
Important: Meal plans are NOT included. Dining Services is not in operation during the summer session. You’ll need to plan for your own meals.
Summer Housing: The Process
Program Overview
16-week summer housing for current spring 2026 residents and confirmed fall 2026 residents who need continuous on-campus housing coverage.
Housing runs: May 8 – August 29 (See Key Dates above for specific transition dates)
Your end date depends on your fall status:
- Returning for fall 2026? You’ll transition to fall housing in early August
- Not returning for fall? You’ll move out entirely in mid-August
Step 1: Check Your Eligibility
Who can apply:
- Current spring 2026 residents
- Confirmed fall 2026 residents
- Must be enrolled in at least one summer course
Step 2: Submit Your Application
When to apply: Application opens on the date listed in Key Dates above
Application deadline: See Key Dates above for the specific deadline
Important:
- Apply by the deadline for guaranteed housing consideration
- Applications received after the deadline can only be placed based on availability
Step 3: What Happens Next
Room assignments sent: 1-2 weeks before your move-in date (check your Benedictine email)
Move-in date: See “Summer Transition” date in Key Dates above
You’ll move to your summer assignment in Founders Woods on this date unless otherwise instructed by Residence Life.
Note: Temporary placement in Jaeger/Ondrak may occur at the beginning of the term based on availability.
Step 4: Your Summer Housing Timeline
Once you move in, your path depends on whether you’re returning for fall 2026:
Path A: Returning for Fall 2026
- What happens: You’ll transition to your permanent fall housing assignment on the date listed in Key Dates above (Fall Transition).
- What to do: Pack up your summer apartment and move to your new fall assignment on campus.
Path B: NOT Returning for Fall 2026
- What happens: You must move out of Founders Woods and leave campus entirely on the date listed in Key Dates above (Non-Fall Resident Move-Out).
- Why: We need to prepare Founders Woods for new fall students arriving soon.
- If your classes continue past the move-out date: You are responsible for arranging your own off-campus housing. Temporary on-campus housing cannot be provided after this date.
