Dreamweaver
Prerequisite: None

In this workshop participants will learn how Dreamweaver can be used to construct a simple website. The workshop covers site organization, page layout, and elements common to web pages, such as images, formatted text, lists and links.

WebCT I
Prerequisite: None

This workshop introduces the basics of WebCT. Participants build a WebCT course that includes a syllabus, a threaded discussion, links to remote websites, and maintenance of the WebCT class roster.

WebCT Gradebook

Prerequisite: WebCT I

This workshop covers gradebook management, including creating numeric and calculated columns, and releasing grades to students.

Importing Grades from Excel into WebCT

Prerequisite: WebCT I and WebCT Gradebook

This workshop covers exporting grades from an Excel workbook into a csv file, and importing that file into WebCT.

WebCT Organizer Pages
Prerequisite: WebCT I

Faculty who post numerous documents or web links for their students may choose to move some course elements off the Homepage onto sub-pages, called Organizer Pages in WebCT. This workshop describes the process of creating those subpages.

WebCT File Management
Prerequisite: WebCT I

This workshop explores the full-featured file management capabilities of WebCT. The workshop should be of interest to faculty who plan to include course materials such as Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets and graphics files in their WebCT courses.

WebCT Course Backup
Prerequisite: WebCT I

Faculty should assume the responsibility of maintaining backups of their WebCT courses. This workshop describes the processes of creating a course backup, downloading the backup file to a local PC, and restoring a course from backup.

WebCT Self Test
Prerequisite: WebCT I

The Self Test tool provides a way for faculty to create un-graded multiple-choice questions for students to use for review and reinforcement. In this workshop we add a Self Test to the course home page.
