American Council on Education (ACE) and Military Credit

American Council on Education (ACE) credit and Joint Services Transcript (JST) Military Training are accepted for transfer consideration under the External Credit program at Benedictine University. Students may find additional information regarding transfer credit acceptance for these programs in their Benedictine University Academic Catalog.

Students who wish to explore their transfer options and how ACE or Military Training credit will transfer to Benedictine University should speak to an Admissions specialist and submit official transcripts for evaluation to understand how these types of credit may lead to degree completion.

American Council on Education (ACE) Credit

The CREDIT program through American Council on Education (ACE) College Credit Recommendation Service (CREDIT) provides transfer credit recommendations for formal courses and exams that may be taken outside of a traditional classroom. The CREDIT program provides transcripted course credit recommendations based upon reviewed workforce training courses for corporate programs across the country.  Students who have completed approved ACE training are encouraged to submit ACE transcripts for evaluation of potential transfer credit.

For more information or a listing of ACE CREDIT evaluated programs please visit the ACE CREDIT National Guide.

Military Training Credit

Military veterans who have completed approved training courses may be eligible for transfer credit awards. Benedictine University follows ACE recommendations for awarding academic credit which may be used for degree completion. For credit consideration, veterans are encouraged to submit their official Joint Services Transcript (JST) for evaluation.
