I graduated from Benedictine University with a double major in Social Sciences and Spanish Language and Literature. I was also a member of our University’s Scholars Program and graduated as a Scholar with Distinction. Prior to being hired as an Academic Advisor, I worked within the Advising Center for a year and a half as an intern. I found Benedictine University to be a wonderful place to work and study because of its emphasis on being a part of the community. The transition to staff member from student was smooth; I had already been part of the Benedictine family. I am proud to be an Academic Advisor, working to welcome the newest members of the Benedictine family.

I received my graduate degree from NIU with a Master’s in Adult and Higher Education. Prior to being an advisor, I worked in admissions as a graduate university representative and in Residence Life for several years. I’ve been at Benedictine for 8 years and am grateful to be working in such a fantastic place. I’ve always wanted to work in a university setting and Benedictine has been a great fit. Working with students and helping them navigate through their academic careers brings me joy. Each student brings something different to our community, and it is great to see students achieve their goals.

I earned my Master's degree in Education from Concordia University and my Bachelor's degree in Speech Communication from Loras College. Prior to starting my master's degree, I worked in advertising in Chicago. I found that my passion was in higher education and joined the Benedictine community 10 years ago. The Advising Center was created to assist our students in their transition to Benedictine. My goal is to encourage students to foster their own growth and to become proactive in terms of their education.

Helping students grow and find their path is truly one of my passions and I am so thankful to be able to work with the students at Benedictine University and be a part of the Advising Center as a Transfer Credit Evaluator. Benedictine University offers so many options for their students and it is my goal to help students find their path to success. I received my Bachelors of Science in Sociology from Illinois State University and have lived in the Lisle community ever since I graduated. The Benedictine University Campus in Lisle and the surrounding Lisle Community both help to set the stage to fulfill the Benedictine University's Mission "to develop an academic community that supports each person in the pursuit of knowledge and personal development."

I received both my Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and my Master’s degree in Sociology from Western Illinois University. While seeking both degrees I worked with Housing as both a Resident Advisor and an Assistant Complex Director for first year residence halls. Before joining the Advising Center team as an Academic Advisor, I worked for Texas Tech University as an Academic Counselor for the TECHniques Center for 2 years. I came to Benedictine because it is an institution that cares about the success of its students. I have always been drawn to Benedictine; whether that was taking my ACT in its classrooms or competing as an athlete on its track. I am here to continue my passion of helping students succeed on a college level.

I graduated from North Central College with my Master's in Leadership Studies with a concentration in Higher Education and my Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies with a concentration in Organization and Leadership from Illinois State University. Prior to being hired as an Academic Advisor, I worked in admissions for over two years as an orientation and event coordinator. Here at Benedictine, you are not a number; you are an asset to our campus and community. The faculty and staff truly take pride in the success of their students and everyone makes you feel welcome.

I’m a first generation Benedictine alumna with a BBA in Management and Organization Behavior and a second major certificate in Nutrition. I’ve been part of the Benedictine family for over ten years, gaining valuable experience in different areas, including: event planning, operations, and currently the Advising Center. The Benedictine family is a supportive network of faculty, staff, and students who genuinely cares about YOU! While the collegiate journey will at times challenge your critical thinking abilities, remember: we are working to prepare all of our students for their future as young professionals. These are great assets to have in the working world! So to all our students, remember - be focused, be engaged, and be positive!

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Western Illinois University. I previously worked at a Retirement Community in Palos Park working with all events and activities with the residents. I have always had a passion to work within a school community. I enjoy being able to help out all the incoming freshmen as well as transfer students with their Online Placement process. Being able to see the excitement in each of the students before they are even attending Benedictine makes my job that much more rewarding.

I have always had a passion for knowledge and higher education, and I am proud to be a part of the Benedictine University family. I earned my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Roosevelt University. Prior to joining Benedictine, I worked in higher education as a transfer credit evaluator. Having switched schools during my own undergraduate experience, I believe I bring a personal understanding of navigating the transfer process. I look forward to helping students achieve success and foster a strong collaborative relationship with faculty, other students, and the staff.

I graduated from the University of South Carolina with my Masters in Social Work. After I completed an internship at USC’s Substance Abuse Prevention & Education office, I knew working at a university was where I wanted to be. Before coming to work at Benedictine, I was a career counselor at Joliet Job Corps. I am so excited to be part of the Benedictine community where I get to interact with and support students as they begin their college experiences. I love seeing the students’ successes and brainstorming with them when things go awry. I look forward to meeting with each new student and helping them on their path, wherever it may take them!
