Benedictine University students plan to clean up Lake St.
Benedict
The Student Government Association at Benedictine University
is sponsoring an event on Sunday, April 23 to clean up Lake St.
Benedict and the surrounding areas on the southwest edge of campus
for the public to enjoy.
The cleanup effort, in which the public is invited to participate,
will take place from 3:00-5:00 p.m. with a free barbeque at approximately
5:00 p.m. There will also be prizes and other activities at this
time.
Lake St. Benedict and adjacent trails are located at the edge
of campus, but are available for use by residents of Lisle and
Naperville. Benedictine students are hoping to get members of
the neighboring communities involved in this important project
as a way to promote mutual understanding and cooperation as well
as concern for environmental issues.
