Forbes Forbes magazine has named Benedictine University one of America’s Best Colleges for the eighth consecutive year. The Forbes ranking indicates BenU is among the top 20 percent of all American colleges for 2018-19.

 

U.S. News & World Report the global authority in education rankings, ranks Benedictine University among its 2019 Best Colleges using 16 measures of academic quality including student outcomes, graduation rates and support for low-income students through graduation.


Benedictine's Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) program is listed by Crain's Chicago Business as the seventh largest in the Chicago area in 2017.


In 2017, The Chronicle of Higher Education ranked Benedictine University No. 8 among the fastest-growing colleges in the country for private nonprofit doctoral institutions between 2005-2015. This is the fiftth consecutive year we have been ranked as a fastest-growing college.


Graduateprograms.com does annual assessments and rankings of more than 200 accredited masters and doctorial programs throughout the United States. Benedictine University had four different programs rank among the top 25 in each program category including Nutrition and Wellness (M.S., 3rd), Public Health (M.P.H., 11th), Nursing (M.S.N, 13th) and Accounting (M.S., 23rd).


Benedictine's Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) is listed among the nation's "50 Most Affordable Online M.P.H. Programs 2015" by Topmastersinhealthcare.com.

The rankings are based on two important factors: salary potential, and tuition rates. SR Education Group has also ranked BenU’s masters degree in Health Education (23rd) among its Most Affordable Online Colleges list.

About the speaker: Nicole Sotelo (M.Div., Harvard Divinity School) is the author of Women Healing from Abuse: Meditations for Finding Peace (Paulist Press) and Pray Your Way Through Forgiveness (Twenty-Third Publications). Before joining the Sheil Center at Northwestern, she served in Catholic communications ministry, writing an award-winning column for the National Catholic Reporter and working for Catholic nonprofits, including St. Scholastica Monastery, a Benedictine community of women religious in Chicago. Her work concentrates on supporting Catholic women abuse survivors (womenhealing.com).
