After receiving my Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Psychology from St. Norbert College, I completed my Master’s and Ph.D. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland. I have been in higher education for over twenty years as a criminal justice professor. During my time as a professor, I developed a passion for advising students and decided to switch to full time advising when I started at Benedictine in August 2019. I enjoy helping match students with the right course and career plan as well as mentoring them through college life.

I graduated with my Masters in Counseling from Roosevelt University after earning my Bachelors in Psychology and Human Resource Management from Loyola University Chicago. Prior to becoming an Academic Advisor, I worked in Human Resources and Career Counseling. I enjoy working with students and helping them navigate through college whether it’s cheering them on in their successes or supporting them in difficult times. It might be a winding road but remember to enjoy the journey.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Western Illinois University. I previously worked at a Retirement Community in Palos Park working with all events and activities with the residents. I have always had a passion to work within a school community. I enjoy being able to help out all the incoming freshmen as well as transfer students with their Online Placement process. Being able to see the excitement in each of the students before they are even attending Benedictine makes my job that much more rewarding.
