Interview with Family Shelter Service of Metropolitan Family Services

Get Involved:

Are you looking to engage in violence prevention, but are not sure where to start? There are many ways to get involved or simple actions you can take help us prevent violence on our campus. Some examples include...

  • Attend a bystander intervention workshop
  • Confront inappropriate jokes
  • Talk with friends, family, or one of our Prevention Peer Educators about healthy relationships and consent
  • Post an article or video about a positive bystander intervention story on social media
  • Share a quote about standing up for others
  • Discuss unhealthy dating behaviors in movies and TV shows
  • Support survivors!
  • Wear purple for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Purple Thursday is October 22nd!

There are so many ways to get involved! If you have any questions or want to learn more, reach out to Bernadette Ramsden at bramsden@ben.edu or one of our Prevention Peer Educators!
