How to get involved:

  • Sign up for a Bystander Intervention workshop. Bystander Intervention teaches students that there are many things that they can do when they see or hear another student who may need help. In these workshops, hosted by our PEACE Team and Prevention Peer Educators, students learn and practice intervention skills, as well as discussing barriers and what support is available to them. More information about dates and scheduling a training will be available each semester.
  • Join the PEACE team! Our team meets monthly and we welcome new members. To get more information, contact Bernadette Muloski at
    • We have several sub-committees that you can join in addition to our main team:
      • Student Programming
      • Engaging Men
      • Faculty/ Classroom Discussion
      • Assessment (Campus Climate Survey)
      • Training Development and Planning
  • Become a Prevention Peer Educator! Each year we train students to carry on our violence prevention initiatives through peer education. To learn more or to apply visit our Prevention Peer Educator page.

It's On Us

It’s On Us is a cultural movement with the goal of shifting the way we think and talk about sexual assault. We are working to educate, engage, and empower the Benedictine Community to do their part, small or big, to end sexual assault. The University It's On Us campaign includes workshops that cover topics of consent, bystander intervention, and survivor support. Along with these sessions, the Benedictine University community created a video and poster campaign. The posters here are some of many that can be viewed across campus. Posters feature pictures of faculty, staff, students, and University Police who have volunteered to help share the It's On Us message with our campus community.
