Benedictine Undergraduate Student Admission to Manchester University Pharmacy

Manchester University reserves seats in each annual cohort of students entering its Doctor of Pharmacy program for qualified students of Benedictine University. Qualified students must complete the application process for admission to the Manchester Pharmacy program according to the established deadlines.

Requirements include:

To be considered for admission to the Manchester University Pharmacy program under the terms of this magreement, qualified applicants will have

  • completed or be in the process of completing a total of at least 60 semester credithours from the program’s established prerequisite course list, including:
    • Two courses in general chemistry with lab
    • Two courses in organic chemistry with lab
    • Two courses in biological sciences with lab (preferably anatomy and physiology)
    • One course in microbiology with lab
    • One course in general physics
    • One course in statistics
    • One course in calculus
    • One speech course
    • One course in English composition
    • One course in economics
    • Two courses in humanities
    • One course in social sciences
    • Plus, electives to meet the minimum of 60 credit hours
  • Each prerequisite course must be successfully completed with no grade lower than a C;
  • A 3.3 minimum cumulative GPA;
  • Complete the Manchester University Pharmacy program application through PharmCAS,as indicated on the Manchester admissions application Web page; and
  • Complete the program’s admissions interview process.NOTE: Neither a Bachelor’s degree nor the PCAT exam are required for admission.

Qualified applicants from Benedictine University will be ranked according to their applicationand interview results.

Offer of admission letter from the Pharmacy program will be sent by Manchester to  applicants within one week of the admissions interview.

Applicants wishing to accept a position in the program must verify their acceptance of the offerby submitting a non-refundable deposit of $300 to Manchester University by the determined deadline.
