Benedictine University has partnered with University of Social Sciences and Humanities -VNUHCM to offer the MA in Linguistics (TESOL Concentration) for Vietnamese teachers of English. The program enables students to grasp key concepts in the field of linguistics, gain an understanding of the larger social context in which language is used and studied, and discover how to connect specific practices and issues in language usage and acquisition to professional activities. The TESOL concentration prepares students to teach English as a second or foreign language abroad and is especially suitable for applicants with previous teaching experience. The program requires 32 credit hours and conducted on weekends and evening weekdays within 18 months. 8 required courses well be held either in face-to-face or hybrid/blended mode on USSH-VNUHCM campus in Vietnam.
